Additional Information

Everything you may want to know before we work together

1. What concerns do people usually bring to therapy? +

I work with individuals facing mood disorders, trauma, life transitions, identity shifts, marital or family challenges, insomnia, tech/tobacco dependence, and more. You don't need a formal diagnosis to seek therapy — if something feels heavy or unclear, that's a good enough reason to begin.

2. What is the duration and frequency of sessions? +

Each session typically lasts 50–60 minutes. The frequency depends on your needs — weekly, biweekly, or monthly — and we decide this collaboratively.

3. What are your fees, and how do I pay? +

Fees will be communicated at the time of booking. Payment can be made via UPI, bank transfer, or online payment link. Receipts are available on request. If you are in financial distress, please bring it up — we can explore options.

4. Are sessions confidential? +

Yes. Your privacy is deeply respected. What you share remains confidential, except in cases where there's a risk of harm to yourself or others, or when legally mandated.

5. Do you offer online sessions? +

Yes, I offer both in-person and online sessions over secure video platforms. This allows you to access therapy from wherever you are.

6. What happens in the first session? +

The first session is about understanding your needs, context, and goals. I will also share how I work and clarify any doubts. It's a space for exploration, not pressure.

7. What approaches do you use in therapy? +

I integrate CBT, SFBT, narrative therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and trauma-informed care. The approach is always tailored to your context, culture, and pace.

8. What if I'm not sure I need therapy, or I just want to talk something through? +

That's okay. You don't have to be in crisis to come to therapy. Sometimes, a few sessions of reflection can offer clarity. I also offer one-time consultation sessions for specific challenges or crossroads.

9. I'm a therapist myself. Do you offer support or supervision? +

Yes — I mentor and supervise mental health professionals across career stages.

10. What if I need to cancel or reschedule? +

Please inform at least 24 hours in advance.

11. Do you work with children or couples? +

I primarily work with adults and adolescents. In select cases, I offer family/couple sessions, especially when systemic or intergenerational patterns are present.

12. How long will therapy take? +

That depends on your goals. Some clients come for 4–6 sessions to work on something specific, while others choose long-term therapy. We will revisit and review together, based on your progress and needs.

13. How do I get started? +
